I'm pleased to announce that CG Society (CGTalk.com) has asked me to teach an eight week online course entitled, 'Modern Game Character Creation.' The class kicks off pretty soon, as registration is available through the CGTalk.com website!

It's a pretty comprehensive course with tons of artistic and technical direction in regards to creating a character within today's game studios. check it out!

Below is a peek at the class example after getting through week 3's 'roughing it in' stages. Can you guess who it's supposed to be (larger version in my gallery)?

Woah- long time no update! Well, let's see... what's happened in the last year or so that's kept me so busy?

Tomb Raider Underworld has hit the shelves. I was responsible for a character team of four artists, and am very proud of all the work we did. Buzz Monkey's (the studio I was at) role was to develop the Wii version of this game. Not a port! The development of the Wii version was parallel to the development of the 360 version, so it was literally like making two games at the same time. The Wii version was made almost entirely from scratch (from an asset point of view).

I'm now working on the highly anticipated EA MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. This is the first MMORPG I've ever been a part of. The MMO genre certainly has it's challenges and limitations, but it's been a great experience, and I can't wait for the title to hit shelves.

My wife Erin, and I had our first kid! Shows how long it's been since I've updated this site- Brendan was born on December 14, 2007! We're very fortunate that Erin is able to stay at home with Brendan full-time, and she's having a blast in doing so. So far he has earned the nicknames 'Piglet', 'Mr. Baby', and 'Mayor McCheese.'

Needless to say, it's been a busy year!

Check out the gallery section for new work...
